I am a final year MS student in Computer Science specializing in Systems at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Before this, I have worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Meta within their privacy organization.
Previously, I worked as an associate software developer in the Risk Division at Goldman Sachs working on building applications and frameworks that calculate multiple risk metrics for Goldman's daily trades running at scale on the public cloud across hundreds of thousands of servers. I also have a BTech degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from IIT Roorkee.
I am passionate about software development with more than 4 years of experience in the domain of distributed systems, platform infrastructure, big data analytics and parallel computing. I also take a strong interest in competitive programming and finance.

• Developed a job-packing algorithm to reliably predict resource requirements
leveraging historical data and building an
in-memory cache using Redis to reduce total compute bill by 25% for Risk
division.
• Developed risk computation frameworks for US regulatory deliverables including
FRTB Internal Model Approach (IMA),
risk theoretical P&L (RTPL), risk hypothetical P&L (RHPL) and credit-valuation
adjustment (CVA).
• Developed a job distribution framework based on microservices architecture
using Kafka, MongoDB and in-house graph
databases to publish pricing jobs on the public cloud calculating multiple risk
metrics for more than 4 million trade
positions daily.
• Saved $50 million for the firm annually by improving risk models to reduce
pricing time of a portfolio.
• Built an online store for an entry-level healthcare startup using the
WooCommerce platform, getting them
business-ready from scratch in 1.5 months and increasing direct sales by

Spent an interactive day with children having autism spectrum and other developmental disorders at Shrishti Special Academy - a Bangalore based NGO. Also participated in gardening activities and helped sprucing up the ambience to make the place more lively for the children.
Led a team of 6 people where we spent a day counselling underprivileged high-school students about the various career opportunities available to them after school.
I taught English, Mathematics and Science to underprivileged students belonging to nearby rural areas. I also organized multiple blood donation camps for the local government hospital and other environmental awarenenss programmes. I also helped poor villagers earn a living by teaching them to make and sell paper bags to local shops and roadside vendors.
